Wine cellar dining room is a great private space with tour of history. All menu items are solid but nothing shines. Wine pairing and service were excellent.

Just a cool old-school NYC experience. Mark at the bar is great. I liked the Fireside. Lump crabmeat, lamb bolognese, clam chowder, steak frites, all excellent. Baked Alaska just ok but cool visuals.

Restaurant week is the way to do this place... but don't expect superior service. All three courses were great (shrimp arrabbiata pictured) and price can't be beat, but service did suffer a tad 🍤🍷🙃

Ask your waiter about touring the spectacular hidden wine cellar in the basement, which was used to hide booze during Prohibition. It's this place's semi-secret gem.

The Wine Cellar Dinner Menu is reserved for private events in an intimate setting, and the resulting food-gasm is incomparable. Hackleback caviar, butter-poached lobster, sautéed duck breast, oh my!

It may be stuffy, but if old-school, Don Draper Manhattan is your thing, there's nowhere better. And much of the food is still quite good. At lunch, get three courses for $24.

One of the supposed birthplaces of the Southside cocktail, made with gin, lime, simple and mint. Also nice if you are craving a classic NY experience and throwback to another era.

Vegetarians should not shy away from this New York tradition. They have a very nice *on menu* vegie plate that doesn't feel like an afterthought. And thank the universe cocktails are still vegetarian.

Old school cocktails. Martini is huge--you get what you pay for. Burger good, also quite large. Bartenders super friendly.

Went in w/out reservation and they couldn't have been more accommodating. Service was great and food was delicious. Interesting crowd.

Amazing place to take the parents. It is more expensive an has a dress code but the atmosphere is amazing and the staff is excellent.

More for the atmosphere and its legacy than its food. The Prawn for appetizer is good but nothing too special, and the Amish chicken is a little dry and very mediocre

In June of 1932, "21" Club was raided by federal Prohibition agents in search of liquor. Agents failed to find the two thousand cases of wine hidden in 21 Club's secret wine cellar vault...
