Gringos, rejoice! Apparel prices in Adidas / Underarmour factory stores are somewhat close to Amazon (for some positions). There's also several eateries and a wine discounter.
Hands down, best hummus I've tried in China/HK. Other dishes are surprisingly good, as well. Very nice owner and staff. P.S. Try khalva with tea for a dessert - amazeballs!
Heaven for meat lovers in SZ-would specially recommend the lamb - the best I've tried, so far. Chief is very friendly and always up for recommendation, if you are lost in a numerous dishes

This hotel is opposite to Macau, by definition - calm, relaxed, laid back. Rooms are spacious & nicely decorated; restaurant is serving decent Portuguese food & fairly priced Portuguese wine.

Great coffee (one of a few places in Shenzhen, which have a cold brew). Awesome interiors. OK desserts. So-so pasta.

Pros: architecture, interiors, landscape design, secluded location, friendly staff. Cons: pricey mediocre food without any alternatives nearby, sea sometimes gets polluted(depends on tides/wind)
Korean coffeehouse chain. Coffee is much milder, than Starbucks. There's a good selection of Asian deserts (shaved ice, etc.). Would recommend to try their affogato and waffles.
The one & only known craft minibrewery in Shenzhen.Several in-house beers + guest beers & ciders - much better,than those default beers elsewhere. Food can be ordered from nearby café.Great atmosphere
🐼Get there early(~8am,before panda feeding), preferably on weekdays. Avoid fake taxis on your way back(they look very similar to official ones,except number plates+unusually active drivers)🐼
Arguably,the best place for a live music in SZ. Loungy background music during daytime, super-cosy(esp,second floor),live band performing in the evenings.Food is good,tapas platter is huge for two
