B K. • Agustus 10, 2009Korean BBQ at a Japanese restaurant. obviously people who don't know korean food. go to k town for korean BBQ
Sinalco S. • April 4, 2014Excellent japanese restaurant. You simply HAVE to try the amazing Uzaku (hmm... Eels...) and the great hot Udons!
katwiththek • Januari 9, 2019Hidden gem in midtown east for fresh chirashi bowl. Ask for daily special, get seated by the bar. Friendly host and attentive staff. If you come on Sat nights, they may even have live jazz music.
ZenFoodster • Maret 4, 2014My other fave: Soba seaweed salad has 4 different types of seaweed, tomatoes, & a yummy soy-sesame yogurt dressing. ;9
Amy W. • Maret 23, 2011Asian Clay Pot with Shrimp is a delicious, hearty meal. Also great lunch specials!
Nikhita M. • Mei 1, 2016Authentic and yummy! I like the pumpkin tempura and the spicy tuna combo roll.
Cynthia L. • Maret 18, 2017No need to wait hours at gyu-kaku! They have a happy hour bbq special too! Maybe slightly fewer selections, but great marinated meats!
WEI W. • Januari 22, 2018Almost all courses are made by the main chef himself on spot with little help from others. Lots of varieties besides traditional Sushi. Very good
Amanda Q. • Juli 1, 2013Tonkatsu ramen is the bomb. Acceptable substitute for Totto/Ippudo if you want decent ramen without the wait. Prices are fantastic, too ($9 for lunch, $11 for dinner). Located above Treehaus.
ZenFoodster • Oktober 4, 2014Love this bento shop for affordability, quality dishes & variety! My faves: Bibim noodle (less un-cooked egg!), Tofu Hamburg, Mabo tofu, Shrimp tempura w/ mountain veggies atop soba, & tofu bread.
Buford D. • Maret 16, 2019Created Negimaki in 1963. After a NY Times critic said a Japanese restaurant had to serve beef in NY, chef Nobuyoshi Kuraoka wrapped it around scallions with soy sauce.
Ramya • Oktober 11, 2013Quick and friendly service. You can be in and out in less than 30 mins without feeling rushed. Tempura roll is a must-try.
Boris P. • Oktober 8, 2014Undoubtedly the best traditional Japanese restaurant in the city - notoriously hard to get into at any reasonable hour without reservations - but so so soooo worth it
Stacey B. • Januari 19, 2011Such fresh delicious sushi here! I feel like its a hidden gem so don't tell too many people.
Julie L. • November 27, 2009Order the gyoza here, it's excellent. The green tea is great too and unlimited. My favorite Japanese restaurant in midtown east.
Jeff B. • Juni 3, 2023Nice quiet place with nice ambient. Place was empty and food was pretty fast. Tried the pork gyoza (8.5/10), peking duck (8.5/10, lower pik), tonkotsu ramen (6.5/10, a bit dilute, upper pik).
