Remo Malarik: Since the city is built onto 2 cliffs on either side of the river, this Eiffel Tower-style bridge is a defining feature and a must see. Itself very cool, the view over the city also incredible.
Remo Malarik: Another defining landmark in the city. Other than going by it to take pictures, not sure what you can do. Maybe climbing to the top is possible? But also a must see.
Remo Malarik: Supposedly a very famous and nice library/bookstore... but had to pay entry just to go inside. Can't say if it's worth it since we were too cheap... At least you can use the entry towards a purchase.
Remo Malarik: Awesome cafe/bakery that we went to for breakfast nearly everyday. The pastries are amazing or if you want to be like a local, stick with a coffee and the big fluffy toast.
Remo Malarik: On this side of the city is where all of the wine cellars are. Just take a stroll and walk into any that are open. They're happy to tell you about their wine (and sell you a bottle or two).
Remo Malarik: One of the best places to get a "francesinha", a grilled ham and cheese sandwich on steroids. You'll know it when you see it. And you gotta get it.
Remo Malarik: This place and right around this area is the place to go out at night, basically the Schlappen or Mata Hari of Porto. Lots of people, cool atmosphere, and a good time.
Remo Malarik: Nice bar with some pretty cool decorations. Have a forro dance night on certain days and damn can those people dance! Quite a site to see and to jump in if you've had enough liquid encouragement.

Remo Malarik: Gotta drink the port wine while you're in Porto. There's tons of wine stores where you can just walk in for some wine-tasting, usually like 3€ or so for 3. This is just one that we randomly picked.
Remo Malarik: Small little park with a cool view over the river. Kind of like the Spanish Steps or Augustinerplatz of Porto, so bring your beer or wine and have a drink on the grass like the locals.
Remo Malarik: Pro-tip: although it looks like a fancy restaurant, they're also happy to serve walk-ups 1€ beers to go! Perfect for when you're hanging out in the Jardim das Virtudes.
Remo Malarik: This is right about where our AirBnB was and the location was absolutely perfect. Right in the middle just a short walk from everything, but also quiet.
Remo Malarik: A nice national park 1.5 hour drive from Porto. Has some pretty nice hiking trials and the initial drive there through the vineyards is cool. The chain of lakes at the beginning of the park are cool.
Remo Malarik: This lake inside the park has some good hiking trials. The lake is also good for swimming. And if you drive farther in, right up to the border with Spain there's a cool waterfall you can swim up to.
Remo Malarik: May seem a bit sketchy being so far from the airport, but they pick you up with a shuttle van and it's otherwise totally legit with good cars and super low prices.
