Fr. Charles: Closest thing I have discovered in Rome to the Chinese buffet you know at home in the USA. 10 euro for lunch, 12 for dinner, plus water and drinks. Grill station, sushi.

Fr. Charles: If you are visiting Assisi and want a quick bite on the go, this is the place. Pizza 'al taglio' or one of various light sandwiches. Friendly, clean, and authentic.
Fr. Charles: A good size and well stocked supermarket by standards of the area. Big beer selection in the alcove on the right just past the deli counter section.
Fr. Charles: It's a big open market. Worth a visit even if you don't need anything. Fish mongers, butchers, bakers, produce, household stuff, you name it.
Fr. Charles: Looks sketchy, and usually supplied with some sketchy customers, but if you don't mind all that, good food as these places go. Pay at the register first and get your receipt to present.
