1: Find accurate and helpful information about the specific disorder. 2: Listen to people who are living with mental illness in recovery speak about it. 3: Become an advocate.
1: Plan ahead. 2: Learn to identify your triggers (financial, personal demands, etc.) 3: Breath, use the waltz tempo, breath in 2-3, breath out 2-3. 4: Develop or maintain those healthy habits.
1: Maintain connections with people who care about you and are very supportive.
2: Keep a list of people to contact in an emergency with you at all times.
3: Consider adopting a pet i.e., a cat or dog
1: Exercise 20-30 mins, every day, in the AM outside within 2 hrs of waking up. Helps maintain your internal clock and you'll sleep better at night.
2: Eat a diet high in vegetables and whole grains.
