Best place to stay and dive with! If you didn't book early enough to get a ticket for Sipadan, walk around to the other resorts to ask if they have an extra available as it'd be awful to miss out on.
They are closed every Monday and every day 2pm-5pm. Best restaurant in town. Highly recommend the spicy papaya salad.
The Thai food is so good here. Way better than anything you'll find near the beach.
Learn to weave if you'd like. Women of this village are required to learn before getting married. I bargained a large weaving to half of its originally offered price (1,500k to 750k rupiah).
Everything here tastes great. Traditional in that food is pre-made and you eat at room temperature. Choose rice and 2-3 sides.
Come for the duck laab. It has big chunks of duck and fried bits on top. Mint and all kinds of minced things throughout. Not traditional but very good. Drinks are not good here and service is mad slow
This place is fun and they speak great English. They'll include free pedicures and haircuts with 315,000 VND massages. Honestly though, the places right next door are 150,000 VND for an hour massage.
