1 hour of free WiFi avaliable. And if you need to charge your phone/laptop/netbook/etc there are sockets and charging points throughout all the airside.
Flying in from EU and connecting to another flight? Don't forget you will have to go through the border again (plan ahead with time to go through security)
The queues for security are incredibly long and are staffed by unfriendly, unsmiling individuals. I will be travelling to Heathrow in order to fly next time, thank goodness.
Don knock Stansted. Travel weekly from here and compared to Heathrow it is easily the best Londonairport. Although if anyone works in border control can you sort that out as it manned by numskulls
Easyjet is far worse then RyanAir. Be ware of security all laptops and cables are thoroughly checked. Security stole my vegemite... They know its better then marmite. Travelwithbender.com
There are two No 1 lounges at Stansted. One by gate 74 which is a good 15 min walk from the main terminal and one at satellite 1 for gates 11 through 19. The second is much nicer.
Be warned! The transit is one way. If you get to the wrong one the only way back is by official rescue vehicle... If your not sure of your gate then use the lounge by gate 74!
Easyjet and some other low cost airlines are allowed to 'push off early'... Up to fifteen minutes BEFORE the official take off time. Ridiculous. Get there early.
Imagine if you rounded up all the stupidest people in Britain, herded them into one giant hall, then told them to be as rude and inconsiderate to each other as possible .Welcome to Stansted.
Pre-book your Taxi out of here. One Taxi company got the monopoly and the arrogant booking agent seemed very please with how much more expense they are "of course we are, so?"
