Of the world’s greatest museums if not the world’s greatest museum. Go for the Rosetta Stone, the Elgin marbles, the amazing Mesopotamian structures and the great court in the center.
Replica of a Roman villa, featuring Greek Roman and other Mediterranean antiquities. The villa itself is a bit cheesy but the exhibits are great and the modern architecture that surrounds it is great
Really welcome addition to the neighborhood. Good coffee and snacks in an area that has been a little lacking before. Good place to get a little work done if it’s not too busy.
Okay this place is pretty great. Great pastry collection, good coffee and a full menu for the rest of the day/evening. The matcha tea cake was delicious.
Okay, look. This is not a place to come for classy evenings and sophistication. It’s more of a kids and spring break kind of place. But it is pretty good fun and it’s sunny and outside.
Not amazing but it’s a solid place to stay, not enormously expensive, clean and friendly with slightly nuts architecture

Must stop if you’re coming down the coast. Fresh seafood, by the beach, bikers, surfers. I love it. My favorite is to get a pound of fresh shrimp from the seafood side steamed with lemon and sauce
Watching people skateboard on a sunny day in Venice is just brilliant. Amazing place for tourists to soak up some of what is unique about LA
There’s a picture to the right of the counter. Behind it is their secret menu. I’m bizarrely a fan of their Charcoal-ate Milkshake which contains charcoal but they also have more normal options
Extremely friendly and fun place with some great craft beers and some truly delicious cocktails.
Really delicious ramen. I had the tonkotsu with spicy paste, pork belly and an extra egg. Just great.
Great coffee, good deck out back, inside often a bit crowded with people working from cafes.
