Michael Fuchs: Early morning was fantastic for picture taking (and avoiding the crowds). Explore the side paths as well. At the museum focus on the ground floor and the tomb frescoes incl. diver and banquet scenes.
Michael Fuchs: Buffalo farm a 25 min stroll away from the Paestum ruins. At the restaurant friendly waiters serve tasty mozzarella dishes, at the shop you can take some home.
Michael Fuchs: Took the bus from the marina to Capri centre (piazetta) and then walked for a good 20 mins towards Arco Naturale. Off-season we were almost alone and could fully enjoy the serenity of this place.
Michael Fuchs: We tried several lookouts and found that Tragara was best. You have a nice view towards the Faraglioni rocks and great photo opportunities here.
Michael Fuchs: We took an early ferry, Corricella looks most stunning in the morning. Upon arrival we walked straight up to Terra Murata. Shortly before Santa Margherita Nuova church is the best view point.
Michael Fuchs: The staff was super friendly, the food tasty and the atmosphere absolutely relaxed. We enjoyed the sun on the terrace as well as the nice music and meanwhile watched the fishermen mending their nets.
Michael Fuchs: The Farnese collection and several notable masterworks make it a must for every art buff. My favourites were Brueghel's "Blind Leading the Blind" and Caravaggio's "Flagellation of Christ".
Michael Fuchs: You get tickets at Catacombe di Napoli. We joined a tour in Italian and were rewarded with a knowledgeable, passionate guide. The catacombs were quite impressive but the guide made the difference.

Michael Fuchs: Gallery and artists' residence at the same time. Focus is on contemporary art. The gallery is not visible from the street but open to the public, the view from the balcony is incredible.
Michael Fuchs: Hotel occupies the 3rd floor and has few rooms. Those have a 19th century look, felt like staying in an city palace of the time. Breakfast is on the rooftop terrace. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Michael Fuchs: Staff were super friendly, coffee is quite excellent. The outside terrace has a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere because it's overlooking piazza Bellini and the people passing by are mainly students.
Michael Fuchs: A focus on contemporary art in a historic environment like Naples is something that deserves support. Only got to see few exhibits, most rewarding was the homage video for Pina Bausch's dance company.
Michael Fuchs: You'll have to walk up the stairs and then cross the yard towards the left entrance. I was especially fascinated by the very expressive sculptures. If in the area you should go and check them out.
Michael Fuchs: A reservation is highly recommended. Everything we ordered was fantastic including the wine. What also made the difference were the good-humoured staff. One of our best experiences in Naples.

Michael Fuchs: Astonishingly well preserved, used to be even much larger. Their brochure tells you a lot about the individual rooms and helps imagining life of the Roman elite 2000 years ago.

Michael Fuchs: There is a snack building on the grounds but expensive. A great photo spot for Vesuvio is next to the amphitheatre. Check which buildings you want to see beforehand, it's quite easy to overlook them.
Michael Fuchs: Liked everything about it: relaxed atmosphere, relaxed yet attentive staff, minimal design and excellent coffee. Had it with a fantastic banana bread.
Michael Fuchs: Even on a cold and rainy autumn day the special atmosphere of the place was noticeable. It‘s a small wonder how they saved this gem and turned it into such an amazing history and art lesson.
