Amazing big long waves assuming that you've got the strength to get out there. Beginners stay away and go to Pacifica instead.

More local and authentic. Beautiful houses and great restaurants and bars a few blocks up from the pier.
The most touristic part is the area closest to Santa Monica but head south instead to the end of the beach where the best bars and restaurants are.
Wide, white beautiful beaches but only has a few good cafes and restaurants by the beach. Rent a bicycle to get around!
It's so healthy that you have to go for a drink after. Everything is delicious and did i say healthy?
