great park where two rivers meet. some construction going on that unfortunately makes the river narrower... still a great spot to check out
great train station with plenty of food/drink. it's clean and new, but still has a nice nod to old school rail

large botanical garden with plenty of things to see/do. apparently, friday is free day!
great daily breakfast (waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and/or french toast, etc)! they have coffee throughout the day and delicious cookies in the evening. close to the 16th street mall!
great burger! added bleu cheese, bacon, and green chile strips. foursquare hooked it up with a free brownie too!
tom kha soup is delicious. a medium sized bowl was perfect for two people. also had the california burrito and was pleasantly surprised!

right in the middle of a college campus (csu dominguez hills), which is in the middle of a residential area. any seat is a good seat (even the top tank, last row)
the chicken pan fried noodles are so good! the sauce is delicious. rice costs $1.50 and you only get like half a scoop
higher end burger chain. delicious burgers, awesome rings/fries, and craft soda. love it here!!
really great staff here. had to get deep cleaning done and they were really gentle with the needle, massaging my cheek as they poked me
