Very convenient way to get to and from the airport to the city. It takes over an hour to get to Narita so do remember to leave enough time to catch your flight.
Decent business hotel conveniently placed next to the TCAT station. Reasonable rates and the executive 20F lounge is pretty nice. Rooms could do with a renewal but quite comfortable.
Flat, tarmacced trail that is about 4.1km long. Lots of joggers use this route and you get some truly exceptional views out over HK island. This is my favourite easy walk in HK.
Genuinely some of the best lounge food I've had. Bar selection standard fare, but the cooked food and selection of salads was really tasty. Worth coming to this lounge.
The bigger of the St John's restaurants. Meat fresh from the market next door. An awesome restaurant that consistently delivers quality meals. I've never been let down by th food here.
One of the best restaurants in London. Excels at traditional British food. Lovely wine selection all pairs very nicely with the dishes. I love the roasted marrow here.
They have a huge baby/maternity section that has everything. If you are completely new then you can book a 2 hour consultation where they take you through everything you will need. Trusted experts.
Really great store with loads of bargains. Their own brand 'Kirkland' is really high quality. Their food court food is really cheap, and they give away loads of free tasters / samples in the store.
The olives they serve with the cocktails are amazing. The best I've ever eaten. They are so intensely umami that either they've been soaked with anchovies or they were covered in MSG!
This place is 40 years old this year! Decent selection of shops. Nowhere near as big as Westfield but not as crowded, though it still gets packed on the weekends.
Decent station pub. Good selection of ales. Toilets are quite far away though ... Make sure the staff don't lock up whilst you are in the toilets.
Decent place for watching sport. There are 11 wide screen tvs in the main bar so you are never far from a game.
Consistently good Chinese food. Always queues, that tells you that the food is good and prices reasonable. Noodle soups and Shanghainese classics are great here.
Food is good here, but to be honest for the same price as a really big meal here you could probably get a plane ticket to Taipei and get all the dishes way better and cheaper!
Good HK dai pai dong. Standard dishes like congee, wonton noodles, French Toast are all great.
Ok so now some negative comments: Onion ring with my steak was poor - don't bother, no English mustard (WTF?), Rambo style steak knife was just awkward to use, Flint steak sauce is ok but not amazing.
High class fine dining. Suckling pig was a fantastic dish, along with the squid and chorizo starter. Desserts were also excellent. Pricey, but highly recommended.
Really love the beef rendang they serve here. Dry and thick curry sauce slow cooked with beef shin. One of the best I've eaten in HK.
Patatas bravas was our favourite small dish; chorizo, paella & suckling pig were also really good. Very casual & friendly place. Was pleasantly surprised & would recommend. Also desserts were great.
I really enjoyed the food here, but I had a really dry mouth afterwards. That makes me suspect there is a lot of MSG in their food. It was all very tasty and I would go again.
