Beautiful! With some stunning interior spaces! Much more awesome than Edinburgh castle. There are some one hour guided free tours around the castle every 30 minutes and guides are really emotive!
Excellent visit. Tours every half hour last for an hour but well worth it. Make sure to do the Wall Walk where you walk along the wall to the cannons and then go down to see the kitchens.
A great place to learn about history, the audio guides are very good and I recommend them but I would not eat at the cafe because it is very expensive a ham and cheese bueguette is 7.50 on its own
Sitio muy bonito para hacer fotos. El parking en la puerta son 4euros. Recomiendo sacar la explorer pass(puedes sacarla alli) que te da acceso a mas de 70 monumentos en toda Escocia
This is a great castle with some great views. The building is really great and some great architecture. The staff were friendly and helpful. The history and displays well told.
If you're a member of English Heritage you get in for free (50% discount if you've been a member for less than a year). Not advertised, I only found out when I asked at the ticket office! £14 saved!
Really interesting and well-cared for by Historic Scotland. Get there early to get a parking spot. Follow a guided tour and then explore to your heart's content.
Très touristique mais inévitable, vue sur le monumenthommage à Willie Wallace, belle visite avec ou sans guide. Un petit tour dans le cimetière à côté est aussi recommandé.
The £3 for the audio guide is well worth the money if you're travelling alone. The history is acted out in an engaging way, especially so when in the Royal Palace.
James VI of Scotland was brought up here under the care of the Earl and Countess of Mar. His tutor, George Buchanan taught him that his mother, Mary Queen of Scots, had murdered her husband, Darnley
Castillo muy bonito y muy bien conservado/restaurado. Para hacer una visita al menos estarás un par de horas, pero vale la pena. Si subes en coche, el Parking junto a la entrada cuesta 4€.
I've been to castles all over the UK and I found this castle worth the time and money. Full of history, beautiful, and entertaining. It's a great day trip.
Mary Queen of Scots spent most of her childhood at Stirling before travelling to France for her education in 1548. She was crowned Queen in the Chapel Royal on September 9, 1543.
If you have young children with you, take time to join the special children's tour. Very engaging guide who tells the tales of Stirling Castle in a way that kids relate to.
If you've got a family it can be expensive, was looking at £50 for 5 of us and didn't look to be a family ticket. Better views from Wallace monument just out of the centre.
Might be fun to come with your kids, but I found this castle pretty overrated. There isn't a lot of history to read about, but the entrance fee is almost 15 euros.
Stirling Castle is one of the largest and most important castles... in Scotland. It sits atop Castle Hill, an intrusive crag, which forms part of the Stirling Sill geological formation. It is surrounded on 3 sides by steep cliffs, giving it a strong defensive position(Tampilkan lebih banyak)
