Batu Caves

An iconic and popular tourist destination in Kuala Lumpur that features a huge Hindu statue at the entrance. TIP: People flock here on weekends so it's best to visit during the low peak days.

a lovely place to visit! the entrance is free, just dress properly; also if you are interested on a tour, you can go to the Dark Cave, there is a 1 hour tour to show some non public caves

It's free to enter. Donation is greatly appreciated. Crazy hike up the steep stairs but it's worth to go up there if you are fit enough (or wanted to test your fitness level)

Enormous view, short visit (not more than an hour), don't be afraid of the stairs or the monkeys. Take your time going up, enjoy the panorama, on the top / in the cave rest and wonder a bit.

BATU Caves. Statue of MURUGAN. This is the one of the top tourist spot in Malaysia. A very interesting Hindu temple with so many sightseeing.. A 272 steps climbing up. Holy blessed place,must see 👌🏻

You can easily go there by train. The stairs are a good workout 😉 and the golden statue is beautiful. Unfortunately it's very dirty inside the cave. But overall it's worth seeing it!

The 272 steps leading up to the Main Temple is ruled by gangs of monkeys. Don’t even smile at them, cos seeing your teeth is a form of aggressive manner to them as well.

Make sure you dress appropriately (e.g. no short-shorts) but you can purchase something there to cover your knees. Keep food and water bottles out of view of the 🐒 or they will grab it!

Do the Dark Caves Tour. It's 35R ($10 USD) and worth the 45 min tour. A guide takes you and tells you of all animal life and cave formations.

A Hotspot Tourist Attraction. A Temple For The Hindus To Visit At The Caves After Climbing 272 Stairs. A Festival Called “Thaipusam” Which Is Vastly Celebrated In Month Of Early Jan Every Year.

Be extra careful with your surrounding! Esp. the notorious monkey, they will snatch any food n drinks! Pls wear modestly for the ladies or rent a scarf before the steps. Always majestic Lord Murugan!

Make sure to wear something light and comfortable. The hike up will get sweaty. The dark cave tour will cost u RM35 and very educational. Bring your own drink as a bottle of 100+ cost u RM4.

Nice tourist attraction in KL. Newly painted multi coloured stairs and temple beside it. Vy convenient by train but crowded during weekends. Visit the side Ramayana temple for rm5

Entrance to Batu Caves with the Murugan statue. In August 2018 the 272 steps were painted in an extraordinary colour scheme, with each set of steps painted in a different range of colours.

Easy access by train from KL Sentral. MYR2.60 one way, about 40 mins. Allocate about 1.5h for the caves. Main cave above the steps is free, 2 smaller ones for a fee. Please don’t feed monkeys :)

Curiosas donde las haya, son tambien un must si visita malasia. Preparate a subir muuuchas escsleras. Hay monos civilizados para que le des comida. Suele haber mucha gente en ritos religiosos varios.

При поднятие наверх нападают мартышки отнимая еду) много мусора на всей Территории храма. На верху небольшие два храма, где молятся индусы, так же модно купить лепешки и тд. Бегают петухи и куры.

Ist zwar eines der Must-See in KL. Wir waren relativ enttäuscht. Die Statue ist sehr beeindruckend, der Rest eher unspektakulär. Eintritt ist umsonst.

Join also the dark cave tour. I've joined the Educational tour and I've liked the 0 light part the most. Creatures did not impress me very much but Tour guide (Jaliana) was very nice and amusing.

Better come early/afternoon,train to Batu Caves depart every 30minutes from KL Sentral. See schedule below for the return train. Free of charge for the main attraction (the big statue).

so many bird in here, if you want to take s good picture, just buy a bird food for about 5Rm,pour it and the bird will surround you

Beautiful temple. Please don’t feed the monkeys and be careful with your food and drink. They will jump on you to get what you have.

Don't break food, monkeys become aggressive if you have some ! Not too long to climb ;) think also it's better to visit it before 11am (really hot after)

Take the humid hike up the stairs and get pick pocketed by monkeys. Hindu temple awaits you inside the cave once you reach the top.

الحمدلله على نعمه الاسلام ،، معبد هندي يميزه وجوده في كهف على قمه جبل،، يحتاج تصعد حوالي ٢٠٠ درجه للوصول للقمه ، وجزء من الكهف مفتوح من الاعلى ،، المكان جميل وليس المعبد نفسه ،، انصح بزيارته

Parada obligatoria en Kuala Lumpur. En metro i/v es menos de 1€. Una vez allí impresiona el buda gigante. En 3 horas haces la excursión completa.

LOL 272 steps reli do challenge u! Jst bring along ur water bottle, cam n umbrella (if noon) n enjoy d superb breeze while adorable monkeys n pigeons pass by u. Nothin 2 lose, only calories ;)

Watch out for the placid and beautiful five-foot long cave racer (Orthriophis taeniurus) – a non-aggressive and non-poisonous cave-dwelling snake – roaming the cave temples!

They require you to be dress respectfully which means no ultra short shorts and skirts. You can purchase a Long bottom from one of the many shops at the base area of this place.

Temple of Murugan or more commonly known to us as Kartikeya. The steps of 321 led you to the top for a great view.

Take care if your things because the monkeys will steal them from you. Make sure to wear pants or u can rent a leg cover for 5rm.

Take the train from KL and don't miss the Dark Caves tour! Get your ticket for the tour on the way up in case there is a long wait.

Super exciting place!!! If you're not the biggest animal lover just be aware and alert. The monkeys do@hop around freely and there are lots and lots of birds!!!

Currently they are constructing a new temple so grab a bucket of dry mortar or bricks to drop at the top of the stairs. Adds to the challenge of the steep steps too!

it was being repair when I went there, so the Clconcrete mixer truck and the empty tent really annoy me. it's sooo hot in here dont forget bring your umbrella and sunblock

It's worth a trip if only for the exercise. Bring water and towels because you will sweat buckets. Hide the bottles: the monkeys will grab them from you and run away.

Great nature caves and views in this place ... don't forget to try the Dark cave next to it

Поразила корова с сиськами. ))) да и вообще обилие тематических скульптур. Пещеры классные. В дарк кейвс работает гид-весельчак. Обезьяны тоже смешные. Надо ехать !!!

About 14 km from city center. Easy way to get there is Uber. If u prefer public transport near gate is train station.

Bawa payung atau pakai topi, banyak burung soalnya... Jangan bawa kacang atau makanan apapun kalo lg foto2, nanti ditarikin monyet...

Ladies are encouraged to cover shoulders and legs! There is a large sign at the entry right before the steps! You may buy one at the entry or bring your own!
