One of the few vegetarian places where you won't miss meat. Try the avocado and eggplant dips with tandoori bread, the kale salad, and the asparagus with crêpe — can't go wrong with any dish though.
Loved the eggplant & avocado dips w the naan and crudite, the apple/cabbage salad, and the plancha charred avocado w mozzarella. The puffs w goats milk caramel are delightfully light, for being fried.
I agree that you must start with the tandoori bread and dips. A great appetizer to share and a bit filling. I loved the cauliflower tempura with steamed buns although the buns were too much food.
Top dip: the labneh with cucumbers. Top two entrees: the three grain stir fry and the mushroom 🍄 green beans and polenta. Top cocktail: honey 🍯 bee. Did I miss meat? Not once.
Huge fan of the food, not the service. Start with some dips, bread and veggies. Standouts were dumplings, gnocchi, cauliflower bap buns and brussels. Thoroughly full with 6 dishes for 4 ppl
Since opening 3 weeks ago, Nix has been rising up our ranks with some delicious vegan specialties. Make sure you try the beets with a side of potato fry bread that will blow you away. Baca selanjutnya
Check out this brand new vegetarian restaurant which includes items like cacio e pepe, shiitake mushrooms, and wood-roasted broccoli rabe with cheese and Calabrian chiles. Healthy and delicious. Baca selanjutnya
As a meat-eater, this place was actually spectacular and quite filling... they have plenty of options with various proteins (eggs, tofu, beans, etc) and delicious sides/apps (polenta fries are fire)!!
I'm a meat lover but this place is so good I didn't even miss it. The vegetarian dishes are delicious and so are the cocktails. Lively place (make a reservation!) and nice atmosphere. I will be back!
Nix is the new casual vegetarian restaurant from chef John Fraser and former Conde Nast editorial director James Truman. The Dovetail chef is working with a wok and a tandoor oven here. Baca selanjutnya
Try hot bread fresh out of the tandoori oven, then get adventurous with cacio e pepe made using shiitake mushrooms instead of pasta and cheese. Baca selanjutnya
The food is great, no doubt, but the price you pay is also great - for the restaurant owner. The naan bread is seriously delicious, all dips recommended. Stir-fry rice with veggies and beans, so good.
The egg salad with little shredded fried potato bits was incredible. The seaweed and kale Caesar also yummy. The cauliflower tempura was the highlight of the meal, served with piping hot steamed buns.
Fresh tandoor bread lived up to the expectations. Favorite dish was the shiitake cacio e pepe + pea green dumplings. Dessert special was delicious: slow roasted caramelized pineapple w/macadamia nuts!
This place is a vegetarian dream. The space is cozy and everything is very put together. One of the most creative cocktail menus I've seen in NYC in a long time. Get the bread and 3 grain bowl.
Vegan menu is an abridged version of the vegetarian. Love all of the dips! Cauliflower tempura is surprisingly good, stir fry is filling & traditional, & the "cacio e pepe" is unusual & a bit soupy.
Solid, but not a must-visit. Standouts include the red pepper and avocado mint dips, Romano beans, and the potato gnocchi. Both the grilled pineapple and honey custard were excellent desserts.
Sophisticated, veggie-first food with no meat substitutes. The menu is uniformly decadent &delicious with highest quality ingredients.(didn't love the fried bread). Warm staff & lovely atmosphere.
We wouldn’t blame you for making a meal out of Nix’s incredible dips and tandoor bread, but don’t stop there—the rest of the menu is equally swoon-worthy. Baca selanjutnya
Delicious food and service was great! Steamed buns, shiitake, and tandoor bread with labneh dip were our favorites. Nun puffs for dessert was yummy too
Wretched, tasteless, unhappy food. Have vegetarian "tandoori bread" (naan) and "dips" (chutney)... at literally any Indian restaurant on the island... It will outperform this place for far less money.
I really wanted to like this place, with its all vegetarian menu and Michelin star chef. The cauliflower tempura dish was the most disappointing -- it was soggy and covered in a ketchupy sauce.
Real food, thoughtfully composed and presented. Jicama ribbons have a fantastic Vietnamese fish-sauce/bonito hit going on (though, of course it’s neither of those).
