Longest bridge in the state of New York. The Tappan Zee is named for an American Indian tribe from the area called "Tappan"; & zee being the Dutchword for "sea". Toll $5.00 (cash) or $4.75 (E-ZPass)
It freaks me out to see the "Life is Worth Living" and "When it seems like there is no hope, there is help" signs on the bridge due to all the suicides on this bridge.
I was on this bridge with my ex, driving to the City, when 9/11 unfolded before my eyes. I'll never forget what I saw that very clear and very blue day.
People..use your turn signals. It's not very hard to let someone know when you're going to switch lanes. It's common courtesy..if you can't move your arm less than 1ft to flick a switch...you're lazy.
