The kid-themed rooms are worth it. We bumped upgraded at the last minute (check-in) and were really glad we did. The kids had such a blast and the difference is minimal.
If you don't want to get run over by kids all the time, then go during the week (off season). Weekends can get crowded and a bit loud. Places to eat? The buffet was good, if you can catch them open.
I had reserved feelings about purchasing the MagiQuest (wand scavenger hunt) for my 10 yr old son (I figured he'd be too old to enjoy it) but honestly...I'm even enjoying it!! You won't regret it.
What can say i’m back after 3years, the hotelresort is awesome aside from it the restaurant, legoland & grapevine vintage railroad are very close to the hotel.Try to take the train before you leave😊
Check in on Friday can be lengthy, but they speed through it pretty quick. Often times the clerk speaks so fast, feel free to have them repeat anything several times if needed.
The Magicquest game ia a big hit with the kids. The water park is a lot of fun. Try to get a room that is not close the elevator so you are not disturbed by the gamers.
Water park was ok. Food is not good (go to downtown Grapevine to eat). Magic Wand game entertained my kids for days. Fire alarm emptied the hotel at 3am - not cool! Themed rooms are great!
This place is quite expensive, but not overpriced considering its competitors. Staff are friendly, place is always clean, lots of things for kids to do…just a great time every time we come!
Kids Cabins are fun. Bring cooler w/drinks & snacks. There are plenty of places to eat other than hotel that is much better & affordable!! I travel a lot for work saying that bedding is VERY HARD!
MagiQuest is ALOT better than we originally thought. Worth the $$ for great family style fun! hint: just buy ONE wand. It's great As a group. Too much to keep up with to do any more.
The room and service was amazing and the kids had a lot of fun but don't stay in the water park for too long. There is too much chlorine in the air and it made me sick.
With kids get the Paw Pass. Daughter got the stuffed bear. Son got the Magiquest game. It's saved money in the long run. Also the water park is busiest from 1-5.
This Great Wolf is nicer than the one in KC. Staff seems friendly. Free wifi with a strong signal. As others mentioned, it's loud, but hey, it's meant for kids. The bed leaves me with a stiff neck.
If you like to pay resort prices to stay the night with 6 cockroaches, then GWL is the place for you! The waterpark was awesome, but I do not expect to deal with cockroaches in a resort. I could go on
Magic quest game was hit! Water park was fun but loud. Note there is an adult only hot tub! Breakfast was good (get vouchers ahead of time or it can be expensive) but other food was pretty bad. Great
