Historic hotel with lots of places to explore, I.e. Ghost Bride staircase! If you are staying there as a guest, they have guided tours in the afternoon. We enjoyed our stay but our heater broke!
Before I knew Room 457 had a reputation for being haunted, the TV had turned on by itself and there was an image of the fire escape plan on the back of the entrance door, but it wasn't my door. Creepy
looks like hogwarts! filled with history! but I would stay at mount royal because thats by all the bars, clubs, and shops and u can walk everywhere. this hotel is a mile or two from everything else.
It's on the Spa page, but after 7 PM, it's $29 for spa access. If you have the time, it's worth it. Also, joining the President's Club is free and gives you free wifi and fitness center access.
Beware of german tourists who ask you to take their photo, and then drag you around to gather their 20 friends and find the perfect spot. Then none of the pictures are good enough.
The Fairmont Banff Springs is really showing its age. Particularly the hot springs which have dried up and now the pool is heated by a boiler that is often broken down.
Great view. Great location. But the rooms were overpriced. I have stayed in hotels all over the world... this one wasn't worth the money. Location and view was great.
