Biryani is as good as anywhere else. Although those who say it is the best probably haven't had home made authentic biryani. The Haleem is spectacularly good, but do make sure you ask for more shorba

Double Ghosh Double masala biryani is worth a try here. Ambience in the first floor is ok. Also serves Kheema Roti but only during breakfast hours.

While ordering Tangdi Kabab, ask them not to overcook and keep it golden brown in colour. It's a steal at the price Astoria charges for it.
