Cash only. Recommend: Gong Baochicken (nutty & sweet), salt & peppercalamari, green beans with porkmince. Twice cooked pork and spicy lamb were tough and too spicy, and dumplings better elsewhere.
Go as a group, order multiple things and share for the best experience. The aloe verajuice goes really well with the food. Make sure to specify extra spicy if that's what you like.
What they say about the great service and the signature dumplings is true! The prawns with cashews and the braised aubergines in soy sauce are delicious.
Sichuan Folk serves up some of the best Szechuan food in London. The spicy pork buns, and the dumplings are highlights, but if you're a large party, go for the hot pot with all the trimmings.
Great for “real” Chinese food in the Sichuanese style. Vegetarians ask for mapo tofu or sea-spiced (yu-shiang) aubergine but be sure to ask for them without meat. Give the cloud ear fungus a try too!
Истинная китайская кухня - пожалуй, пока вкуснее всего, что мне довелось попробовать тут и там. Традиционно большие порции - обычно одного блюда хватает на двоих, закусок тоже.
Everything is delicious. Particular thanks to the fantastic waiter who guided a few of our party who didn't fancy the more adventurous dishes through the menu.
Get recommendations from the waiters, they really guide well. Tofu with tofu skin was disappointingly bland, spicycucumber starter was surprisingly delicious, portion sizes are really big.
I got a take away from those guys just because of the dumplings, which were great! However, I was slightly disappointed with my Beef with PickledChili - very greasy and in my opinion..overpriced.
I can recommend the Sichuan folk cold chickenappetiser but you will have to take the bad service with it ... They will try to hard sell you additional dishes and give then mini rice portions.
Don't go there, service is as lame as the food. We had hot pot and was expensive and just oil on oil. I'm 100% sure that the positive comments are not real.
