Markus B: Take the Zodiac tour. Less people, you will get much closer to the glacier and the ice and it's just so much fun! Not cheap but worth it. Much better than the standard amphibious boat tours.
Markus B: Great place with friendly service, good food and nice atmosphere. Try the lobster feast. It's not cheap but worth it! Accompanied by an Einstök beer.
Markus B: Great tour operator with friendly guides. Focused on both, your safety and providing you a great experience. Go for the longer Glacier Explorer instead of the short walk. Smaller group and worth it.
Markus B: Brand new and modern hotel (even without any sign yet)with some small teething problems. Seems to be mainly targeted at people fishing at the nearby river.
Markus B: Fully recommended. If you don't have time to go to the larger fields in the Myvatn area this is a nice alternate near Reykjavik. Don't miss the green lake along the street!
Markus B: Fresh food from a local farmer, recently expanded to a coffeehouse. Nice (but a little crowded) place in summer. Open for shopping even open on sundays.
Markus B: Great men-only barber shop - come in, grab a beer, relax and have your beard cut/shaved. Cozy place, nice and friendly staff. Also selling La Galana cigars. Call in advance to make your appointment.
Markus B: Small but nice park. Grab a beer from a kiosk nearby and chill in the park - watch the huge swarm of green parrots flying around the trees (>100 birds). Bürgerhaus Stollwerck is here too.
Markus B: Some call it Copenhagens or even worlds best bakery. Really great food, coffee is ok. Currently (2015) next to a huge construction site, so better just take away your bread/cake.
