Toko Buku · Sydney City Center · 78 tips dan ulasan
Alex Torrance: Possibly best general bookshop in town (cos it's Japanese, and with broader Asian flavour. Though has all books from all over). Also cafe, little gallery etc. Must-see.

Alex Torrance: Former artists' hang-out in the 60s. Now gallery with great cafe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_House_Artist_Collective http://www.milesago.com/features/yellowhouse.htm
Alex Torrance: Pretty, if overly twee, Blue Mountains town - Katoomba is right next door. Both have amazing views of mountains around. 90 mins on the train from Central, roughly?

Alex Torrance: Nice little museum will give good overview of complex history of this complex city. Currently good (if heartbreaking) exhibition on trams.
Pusat Perbelanjaan · Sydney City Center · 15 tips dan ulasan
Alex Torrance: Funny mall. Has become very Asian-Australian, which is fascinating. Features Kinokuniya, wonderful bookstore, and Graniph, as well as good food and Via Alley (tiny store selling Japanese knick-knacks)
Alex Torrance: Wonderful walk along reclaimed former industrial land. You can start at Bridge Road and walk all the way along, before heading back to Glebe maybe.
Alex Torrance: Rather fine square/piazza. Note also the MLC building by local hero Harry Seidler. Funny mushroom building. Good place for people watching etc. Note also the mural by Joseph Albers on adjacent wall.
Alex Torrance: Worth seeing of course. Pretty amazing beach, even if the surrounds are a bit ruined. Primary social space in Sydney, arguably. Spectacular cafe/restaurant/bar alongside, called Icebergs.
