Reasonable option for those on a budget in BKK. Public areas look like they were designed by a deranged toddler with neon & plastic but rooms are spacious & quite comfortable. Service is hit & miss.
A bit pricey but you're paying for good food and great ambience. Well worth it. Try the minced pork salad; tangy with just the right spicy kick.

One of the top hotels in town. If the Oriental's location puts you off try the St. Regis. Well located on Rachadamri.
It's expanded steadily over the years but is still a good place for a party, even if the crowd is douchier than it used to be. Three rooms featuring Hip Hop/Floor-fillers; EDM & Thai live band.
Great mid-range hotel if The Oriental & The St. Regis aren't on budget. Good location in Sathorn, warm design & good service. Plus you have Nahm in the lobby. Get The Met room.

The place looks fantastic. Too many brilliant design elements to fit into one tip so just check it out. Drinks & service are nothing to write home about but the vibe is killer.
The place looks great but the service and fusiony food on offer are of a spottier quality. Still worth checking in with a book - grab some coffee and admire the design.
