Andrew C: There is so much natural beauty here... amazing tree + small canal with men on bamboo rafts offering to transport you across to the huts across + many leashed animals and their "owners"!!!
Andrew C: Amazing shopping street... lots of wonderful+legitimate business, but also some greedy+sketchy ones!!! You can get almost anything you want/need here - huge variety of products sold along the street!!
Andrew C: NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE - very wet, slippery, and dark!!! Otherwise, it's all cool and neatly carved out with awesome designed lighting onto the walls... there are unique stories about diff parts!!!
Andrew C: Everything is great here... super crowded during lunch rush but all the vendors are quick and attentive - plenty of variety to choose from, especially further away from main street!

Andrew C: Mao Zedong mausoleum entry is so symbolic and wonderful... massive security line to get inside, but plenty of space to wander around once in!! Easy to cross the street to actual square, via tunnels

Andrew C: Absolutely incredible steelwork, amazing to see it up close and how it's intertwined. The interior is like any stadium but still so neat to see the Olympic rings everywhere, history placards, and more
Andrew C: Love the local hotspots and wandering around, not knowing what/where I'm actually getting myself in to.... there's plenty of food options and tons to clothing shops!
Andrew C: Coming from NYC, halal food is explicitly Middle Eastern dishes (chicken, lamb, beef over rice or salad or gyro)... but here, it's "normal" Chinese food and all was pretty delicious!!!
Andrew C: Small and sketchy, but incredibley high-pressure and intentional massage... they immediately hit my body's pressure points and undid most of my knots, which felt amazing and was so relaxed + at-ease!!

Andrew C: Love scenic outlooks and modern parks within any high-rise city... because of the great views (of both the East and west side of the city), it'll be super crowded and busy during most of the day!!
Andrew C: We were actually quite surprised, this show was really awesome and the performers were beautifully flexible... kind of like cirque du soleil but with the local feel/vibes of China
Andrew C: When my white touristy family walked in, all of the locals turned and stared... that's when we knew this food would be good and it absolutely was some of the best food we had in Shanghai.
Andrew C: On the site of a former synagogue, this wonderful museum is for the Jews who fled Europe before WW2 and created new lives in Shanghai... you can visit 3 exhibits with stories and the main sanctuary!!!
Andrew C: This beautiful garden is nestled into the old town section!!! The place is so expansive and can wander for hours... kind of boring, but actual sculptures and waterfalls and plants are gorgeous!!
Andrew C: Really chill low-key bar. No menu, so know what to order (in Mandarin) or ask for suggestions from someone already seated... lots of the patrons speak English but not all the bartenders!!
Andrew C: For $10, you can get a huge Israeli breakfast plate (egg, avocado, salad, etc) and it's really quite filling + comes with coffee or juice too!!!
