Use the B Gate security checkpoint for Southwest or AirTran. The security lines are much shorter.

Even though the security line wrapped through the airport, we only waited 15 minutes to get through. They were pretty efficient.

Do not eat at Kraze burgers if you are in a rush. Waited 20 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and finally left without it. Everyone was waiting. Incompetent

If it's convenient to your destination, fly into Washington National instead. Lines are considerably shorter and the airport isn't so crowded.
