Cathedral Ridge Winery

This wine has a soft, smooth and bright palate with a clean and silky finish showcasing the much earthier flavors of warmer climate Pinot Noirs like Mt. Hood Morel mushrooms, truffles and gamey meats. It is rounded out with delicate swirls of cranberry and a nose of cinnamon, plum and maple.

The name comes from our former preseident, Thomas Jefferson. He once said "Good wine is a necessity of life", and we couldn't agree more. This wine is an elegant blend of our premier Pinot Noir and Zinfandel grapes, demonstrating the uniqueness and diversity of our Columbia Gorge winegrowing region.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot Dark berries, milk chocolate, and cassis on the nose followed by a smooth, balanced mouth feel and soft tannins on the finish make this a very approachable red wine.

Plum, black cherry and warm vanilla spice lead the way with traditional hints of meat jerkey and baking spice. Aged 31 months in the barrel this Merlot is complex, yet soft and balanced, with gentle acidity and smooth tannins.

Aged in the barrel for 20 months, this wine is rich and bold, displaying complexities of black fruit, cocoa and blueberry with a nose of cedar and dusty plum. The long earthy finish rounds out this complex cab.

Only in the best of vintages and the best growing conditions does a reserve wine emerge. 2010 was a truly exceptional vintage and this wine represents some of the best fruit grown in our region.

We strive for our Pinot Gris to showcase the acidity of the Columbia Gorge, while carrying a mouth feel that is soft and pleasant expressing wonderful fruit, acidity and lushness. Typical nutty flavors are prevalent, and a round flavor profile accents the acidity perfectly.

Cranberry and pomegranate flavors unite in subtle tannins, hinting at black olives and fresh fig. An excellent food wine! Located on the north side of the Columbia River sits Dampier Vineyard in Underwood Mountain, WA. Much higher in elevation, approximately 1,100 feet, this vineyard benefits from southern facing slopes with great exposure to the sun and cool gorge winds throughout the growing season.

This is a follow up to our 2007 Bordheauxd Red which was rated: 91 from Wine and Spirits Magazine! 22% Merlot, 33% Syrah and 44% Cabernet Sauvignon make up this beautiful blend. The Bordheauxd (pronounced Board Head) is our tribute to the hard working Board Heads shredding the Columbia Gorge.

Very well put together with a palate of ripe blackberry, spices and warm vanilla. A nose large with cedar and berries leads into a body of velvety cocoa tannins and a long earthy finish. A fantastic follow up to our Award Winning 2008 Vintage, this Cab is sure to be a fan and critic favorite.

Silver Medal - Oregon Wine Awards 2012, Silver Medal - Astoria Seafood and Wine 2012 Lemon zest and buttered popcorn aromas with a palate of citrus, vanilla and subtle minerality. This Chardonnay is well balanced, medium bodied and delightfully crisp with a wonderful mouthfeel and a smooth butterscotchy finish.

Gold Medal Winner 2013 PDX Seafood and Wine Festival. Classic Pinot Noir aromas of dark cherry, raspberry and cardamom complete with a palate of cranberry, caramel and rhubarb. These flavors are intensified through a silky and smooth mouth feel with wonderful complementing acidity and smooth soft tannins.

Meaning "half-dry" in German, this wine is semi-sweet, floral and aromatic with hints of a dry finish. This wine bursts from the bottle with strong floral aromas and tropical fruit. Predominate flavors of wild strawberries, cherries and watermelon with a finish that is crisp and clean.

Awarded: A Gold and 3 Bronze Medals. Deep Aromas of cassis and cool, dark cellar fill the nose with hints of cedar and bay laurel. A body of blackberry, black cherry, thyme and rosemary that swims in in polished tannins and leads into a rich and lasting finish.

Halbtrocken means "half-dry" in German. It is a blend that has predominant flavors of cherry, wild strawberry and watermelon which combine with floral aromas to make this wine a real treat. A semi-sweet wine, it is great for sipping and is good with any spicy meal.
