    The castle is really beautiful, you have to go to the rooftop called "le dôme" the view is breathtaking ! And the garden is one of the most incredible I've ever seen ! Take the little car : worth it.

    The inspiration for Versailles, on a more "human" scale. You can imagine living here. Well worth an afternoon of your trip. Hour train ride from Paris, then ChateauBus to/from station.

    Chouette journée - visite en costume sympa ac les enfants, très beau jardin ds lequel faire une pause ! Ne pas oublier son pique-nique, le stand dehors est très cher!

    Très beau château, visité à l'occasion d'une soirée aux chandelles. Le château et le parc sont parfaitement mis en valeur par ces chandelles. Un petit feu d'artifice pour clore la soirée, très sympa !

    The Château appears in Moonraker (1979) as the estate of villain Hugo Drax. In the film it is superimposed onto the Mojave desert where it was supposedly transported "brick-by-brick".

    Très beau château et surtout je recommande fortement l'audioguide (qui est gratuit) car la mise en scène de la visite est un excellent moyen de découvrir l'histoire de ce château.

    La visite guise et costume est top pour les enfants. Le jardin est assez grand mais on peut louer des voiturette ce qui rend la visite vraiment ludique pour les enfants.

    On Saturday nights during the warmer months, the chateau & grounds are open 'til midnight, so one can tour the estate by candlelight! Avoid L'Ecureuil restaurant - the food is so bad, it's indelible.
