Here is the casual eel skewers restaurant. Each skewers are about 300 yen each. If you love eels & live around Jiyugaoka, I highly recommend here! Credit cards aren't accepted & smoking is allowed.
赤羽のランドマーク。名物の鯉や鰻だけでなく泥鰌や鯰も有り川魚に強い印象。鰻のカブト焼きを17:00位に頼もうとしてら売り切れだった。人気があるらしい。「酔っての来店お断り」とのことです。写真は鯉のあらい。

Great little wine dive and bottle shop, 6-8 seats only. If you know your goods, some great finds. Good vintage Meursault for 2-3000NT, Jacquesson for the price of Moët. Great finds even at 400NT.
This is hand's down the best 胡椒餅 in Taipei by a long shot. Be prepared to wait of upwards to an hour for straight out of the tandoor goodness.
