"I always start with the steamed buns—pork, of course. Slow-cooked, super tender pork belly is served in a super soft rice bun with just a touch of spice. It’s delicious!" Chef Jim Botsacos Baca selanjutnya
The brick-walled Malaysian eatery takes a boutique approach to savory street dishes, pairing generously sauced chicken wings and basil-spiced egg noodles with hard-to-find beers and craft cocktails.
One of the best restaurants I've visited in NY so far. Fresh, well prepared asian food. Pls try the pork buns and the Duck. You'll go nuts! Love Fatty Crab
May be the best crab I have ever had in my life and the best meal in the city. Had the chicken wings, short ribs and crab between three with the recession drink series. Amazingness.
Go with 3-4 friends and order 5-6 things to share! Try for the duck and Malay fried fish. And if crab's not your thing, get the "sauce and toast", which gives you the same great chili sauce w/ bread.
Amazing seafood and duck with a small hint of spice! Health nuts be warned that if you don't like your pork or duck with a little fat you will not enjoy this place.
Cute Asian restaurant with sidewalk seating a block off all the busy Gansevoort traffic. Serves Malaysia food: recommend chili crab and the curry mussels...get the coconut rice.
Musts: beef short rib rendang, pickled watermelon/ crispy pork. Must avoid: fatty sliders (dry/boring), chicken clay pot (dry/bland), and steamed buns (dry/just not worth it-go to momofuku)
Nice service, cute small space. Crab is popular but tough to get at. Shrimp in the starter appears to have been frozen, though still saucey and delicious. Solid pork buns. Not a scene, but good.
It serves chili crab, of course, a Dungeness crab served in a pungent chili broth, but almost as popular is the green mango served with a dipping bowl full of sugar, chili and salt. Baca selanjutnya
Grab those sauce-dripping chili crabs with your hands and get messy; gnaw on the bones of salty and succulent chunks of "fatty duck." You'll think you've died and gone to Kuala Lumpur. Baca selanjutnya
Not another place like this! Try the Pork Steamed Buns & Nasi Lemak! Great portions and every bite tastes different. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.
You can never go wrong with the Pickled Watermelon & Crispy Pork at Fatty Crab...in fact, you may need to order a few. The perfect mix of flavors - you won't regret it!

Fodors recommended as a 'cheap eat', & then ordered Chilli Crab not realising that it would rocket the bill (!) - but it was worth it. Pork belly & watermelon too - who knew? So tasty... :)
This laid back and fun spot has an environment and menu inspired by Malaysian street food. Something so unique, it can only be found in the city that never sleeps!
Cracklin pork salad with watermelon might not sound like exactly what you want to eat on a summer’s day, but it is! If you go here for the famous Fatty Crab dish, be sure to bring a friend or two.
Super casual traditional chinese, impressed! Don’t miss the late night happy hour Fri and Sat from 12-2am! The $7 dollar specialty cocktails were out of this world and a great price!
The food quality is just fantastic, the Chicken Rice, which tasted so buttery and rich and don't miss the Fatty Sliders and the Black Pepper Mussels too. Great!
Wow this place is amazing! Our server, Scott, hooked it up with a round of specialty shots for the table on the house, after the best dungeonous crab. The atmosphere, food and staff earn 5 stars!
Love this small place in the West Village. Everything from the Quail Egg Shooter to the Tea Sandwiches and the Duck with Tamaki are all superb. -Thierry Rautureau, Top Chef
A chupacabra cocktail, the watermelon pickle with crispy pork, the fatty duck, and you're all set. The free little piece of rice-flour and coconut cake will round things out at the end.

Great food. Terribly slow service. Chilli Crab amazing treat (dip the toast in the sauce!). Sliders are great. Terrific short ribs. Quail egg shooters awesome if you're open to very different tastes.
Self-described as a “joint,” they serve Malaysian-inspired cuisine and delicious cocktails. Chef Jesus Nunez (Gastroarte) says “I really enjoy their Lo Si Fun pasta dish."

Malaysian streetfood finds a New York home in this Meatpacking District hotspot. Mingle with scenesters and get messy with the spicy, mouth-watering meats and sauces.
I was really excited to try this place but left disappointed. The portions are small and the flavors are ok, too much red pepper. The fatty duck was amazing. The chili crab was ok, not worth $60.
