PaddyApril 16, 2016Brisket is amazing. Probably the best I've had outside of Lockhart, TX. Ribs were ok and sausage was incredibly greasy/oily. Food is self service and the line for food is quite long during busy times.

Don't make rookie mistakes: 1) eat your brisket with a shake of the salt/pepper mix (shaker on table); 2) dont over order meat -- you can always go back up (1/2 lb + sides is plenty for most).

Fette this, RUB that - HC is hands down the best pit in NYC. Moist brisket is a must. Pro tip: request "chilimac" at the Sides&Trimmings Bar and you'll receive a meatycheesy surprise.
