Gorgeous beach! Best we went to in Kona. When you get to the two red house structures keep going you still have about a 20 min walk over a lava "path" but it is totally worth it!
Turtles are often seen here resting on the warm beach heads. Be sure to keep at least 18 feet from them.

When the path is wet, it's slippery. Be careful and wear good shoes. Have time to explore? The bamboo "forest" on the side of the path is quite beautiful.
Lerado is the guard and a nice guy. If he arches you going up you have to go down, if caught coming down he just asks how the hike was. He hikes it every day and will catch you. His record is 37min.

Best brunch house on the island, by far. Everything is fresh, innovated and bursting with flavor. Try the pancakes made with ricotta cheese, the deep fried cornflake French toast and the hash brown.
Asian with a modern international twist. Largely Vietnamese food. All are satisfyingly good. Coconut horchata and the desserts are worth trying.
You will feel piggy smalls after eating here. Def try the Moroccan salad. The side of brisket for $5 is an insanely good and tasty deal. Fish of day is very good as is the porchetta.
