Security staff generally rude and inefficient, although goid variety of eating places to choose from before and after security.
Arrive way ahead of time to get through security.
Expect to be treated like cattle in departures, everything to be understaffed, rude and dismissive treatment, a 2 hour border control wait on arrival and another 2 for baggage return. Avoid.

Watch out for last second gate changes. And I mean last second.
Avoid the ePassport control as it takes longer than the human touch

It’s a quick airport but a very ugly and basic airport.

Maeve PatersonSeptember 6, 2013Would not choose this airport if I had a choice. Unfriendly, pricey. I was afraid to stand in one place for too long, invade I got a ticket. Trollies £2. Dropping someone off £2. Extra bag £40. Yuk.

Try a different airport. It's a dump. Hard to get there. Hard to get through. Barely any seating. Not very good food options.
Thurzday NextJanuari 20, 2014First and last time flying through this airport. I got scammed into buying an extra train ticket, then there were multiple train delays, causing me to miss my flight and purchase another ticket.
Reasons to hate LTN: 1) £2 for drop off/pick up 2) £4 for priority security 3) £1 for plastic bags 5) consistently rude staff 6) terribly designed gate layouts.

Nick PittoniSeptember 6, 2016the service and people are really great in the 3-4 times I took a flight from there they've been really great. Queue times can get scary in peak periods!
My tip? Don't bother. A disgusting airport and a depressing insight into cheapo British holidays. I'll be glad to get out of here...
The staff are lovely and everyone leaving negative tips for here is obviously just grumpy.
Security has 25% inflation in the express checkin it's now £4 :-( robbery!
AldonaJuni 15, 2012Seems like a kind of place you will NEVER EVER leave. Can't cope with the numbers. Also, I think they never read 4sq tips as they keep ads for it in bathrooms...
