    It's kind of dark for studying, but the comfy well-worn couches, thrifty posh décor, chicken liver crostini, and cool (for Morningside) crowd made me feel like cozying up with Das Kapital was a treat

    Cute cafe with outdoor seating in front and super cozy areas inside. Great for a meal or for studying. Staff is friendly and service is quick.

    Hidden gem. Almost don't want to popularize a place you can go for dates, chat with girl friends, lounge or even work at! Comfy sofas, chairs, affordable food & Wine. Nice salmon. Great music.

    Comfy velvet armchairs and sofas, delicious paninis, and good deals on wine. Cozy place to study with good wifi during the day, or grab a drink in the evening.

    Somehow this bar/lounge seems more SoHo than Morningside Heights. The same owners as Covo at West Harlem Piers. Lots of food, wine and hefty portions satisfy the Columbia trekkers willing to splurge

    This place is very cozy. Same type of idea as the Tea Lounge in Park Slope, but on UWS Morningside. Near Columbia University. Feels like home & warm in appearance.

    A regular after-work hangout, pleasant outdoor seating when it's warm, interior decor is eclectic and stylish, free wifi. Service is great when Maria is working, otherwise it's just OK.

    Try to crostinis! I'd recommend the fig and goat cheese or avocado. The antipasto is great too!

    Max cafe is way shittier food than I remember + they don't have bacon & there's no such thing as a refill on coffee. At least they have wifi & you can hide away in the corner forever.

    Cozy atmosphere, but not worth the service. refused to even take our drink orders until our last joined us. Forgot items or charged us twice for others. Was stopped b/c our tip wasn't satisfactory.

    Whatever you do, don't try the iced tea with strawberry and orange juice. It's absolutely horrible. Also, place is extremely overpriced.
