Still the best mall in the Des Moines area. You suburbanites can keep your cess pool way out west.
I was appalled to learn Merle Hay is host to what basically amounts to a roadside zoo. I'll be boycotting along with thousands of others until Merle Hay stops allowing this cruelty to animals.
Of the four malls in Des Moines, it is safe to say that Merle Hay Mall has the best choice of anchors...Target, Sears, Kohl's and Younkers (which used to be Famous Barr and should have stayed so we'd

Once around the inside of the mall is about a mile for walking. Signs are posted.
