Dan: Come for the astonishingly good minced-pork sesame ramen (black or white), stay for the intimate surrounds, well-selected jazz and an excellent selection of sides. The seasonal clam soup is a winner.
Amy 🍦: Come starving or don't come at all. Be prepared for this to be your one meal of the day. This is not ramen; this is Jiro - a cult that only the strongest stomachs get inducted into.
Dan: Go for the salt-based (Shio) chicken and bonito stock ramen made with the yuzu. The salty and umami-rich soup stock is perfectly offset by the citrusy notes of the yuzu and char-grilled pork.
Dan: The excellent baked goods here mean its totally packed out on weekends, you're better getting take out and going to sit in the park. Super bâtards and baguettes but avoid the cinnamon rolls.
Dan: The owner makes only a limited number each day but if you ask, he also has a selection of frozen curries to take home and reheat. The spare ribs are excellent.
