Janelle ShoemakeDesember 24, 2010Take the lightrail to the skyway check-in 4 floors up. Carry on luggage only. But you get through security in 3 minutes!! Super quick! No one knows this secret!
Ilusha ProNovember 29, 2013Wanna skip all lines and get guaranteed priority boarding? Arrange wheelchair assistance. Apparently lots of wheelchair users at airports walk faster than the grim reaper.
Cannot go wrong with anything at the French Meadow Bakery.
Get lunch at Surdyk's wine market. It's positively civilized! Booths w outlets, cooking channel on tvs, and really beautiful sandwiches
Nice facility, but so large is can be difficult to get to your gate. I wish they had a train
Escape lounge is awesome and significantly less busy than SkyClub
Free form concessions in all the gate areas makes getting food easy between flights.

If you're in the a concourse, bring your walking shoes or ride the tram.
Race BannonMaret 19, 2012Very easy airport to get it and out of, but make sure to arrange transportation to and from the city beforehand if you can.
Concourse G is practically in another State. So put your hiking shoes on. It's going to be a long walk to G1!
Rita LassiterOktober 19, 2012Terminal 2 isn't built up to include cool shops, restaurants, etc. Airlines that lie into here include AirTran, Sun Country, and Southwest :-/.
I cannot over-emphasize the usefulness of the family care rooms for nursing Moms, both for semi-privacy and for quiet. More airports NEED this.

The bathrooms in the mall area are the nicest I’ve seen at an airport! Food selection could be better at MSP.
Lactation rooms open to employees and passengers: across from Caribou in F Concourse, at C12 & G6 (smallest).
Great place to catch a glass of wine, do some shopping and even catch a flight!
Caribou coffee is local fave...you can have Starbucks anywhere.
North gate is often less crowded. South Gate is the main entrance for Delta.

Check out Axel's Bonfire for awesome blackened walleye salads, woodfired pizzas, and good beer/cocktail selections.

Security lines can vary in length. You can take any one - ask the airline rep which is the fastest one
The balcony above Ike's is a great quiet spot to rest or work while you wait.

Delta silver "elite" is allowed in the short security line next to US Airways check in. At all other checkpoints you have to stand in line with the peasants
If you're flying out of Concourse G, ask for directions to (the top-secret) Security Checkpoint 10. There's almost never a line.
HadiOktober 22, 2018such a complicated crazy place! Arrive at least two hours earlier to make it in time!
Renovations are great! Updated lactation rooms and restrooms. Much needed!
Nilay CetinJuni 21, 2019It took me 20 mins to find ride-share pick up location at 11:30pm. It can’t be that difficult to put signs!- Sometimes pickup level gets very busy. Arrange to meet on departures level instead!
