- Tom MaxwellSeptember 28, 2015I really liked the Flat White here, which is like a cappuccino but with a milk foam that has finer bubbles. Not a ton of places make it. Fast WiFi too. Best cafe in the South Bay? Quite possibly.
- The Gamut Blend is a mix of espresso roasted beans. As a cold brew, it retains a crisp, buttery mouth and the finish is equally oily. The chocolate tone in the body adds to the earth flavor in situ.
- Guji Sidama, a wet processed SO bean from Ethiopia, was available as a 24-hour cold brew. The brew and process combo yields smooth and light tones of plum and peanut in mouth and body respectively.
- Omer ZachJuni 27, 2015Try the cafe brûlée—like a creme brûlée but with a cappuccino under the burnt top.
- The La Maria blend from Costa Rica is a very smooth tasting brew with soft flavors. This is a good coffee for tea drinkers. A clean refreshing floral tone meets a faint coco tint at the back of tongue
- Opus OneJanuari 31, 2016What's good here, coffee of course. I just drink it black, Keynote on tap or pour over, always excellent. This is definitely one of the if not the best micro roasters in the Bay Area. A bit hipsterly
- I have fallen in love with this place! I have come here without fail for 41 weeks! I love their specialty drinks, though they can get expensive.
- They can certainly pull a great shot of espresso. Huge fan of their cappuccino's, true to form, where they pay attention to the measure of milk:espresso.
- Tulio Portillo beans from Honduras were sweet as a cold brew iced beverage. The cup has a clean profile of milk chocolate and raspberry. Mid level scores across the board (mouth, body, aroma, acidity)
- Jennifer MooreAgustus 10, 2014Time to update: this place has become a “come home to coffee” destination. Pretentious snobbism gone, decor more relaxed and inviting, always amazing coffee. Wi-fi now offered by Facebook. Awesomeness
- The Peruvian roast Cajamarca is all about the aftertaste. It opens smooth and grows louder with tones of caramel apple and banana walnut. It's smooth and sweet with enough bitter to provide length.
- X-tina 🦄April 22, 2019I like this place in theory. They support the local community. But this is hipster heaven. I saw on google it says people usually spend 1-2 hours here. It’s because you are standing line for half it..
- The La Virgen beans from Columbia are sweet and mildly acidic, with a soft body and a prominent mouth. An interesting, slightly smoky aftertaste sets in following blueberry and orange peel tones.
- Get the café brûlée to create a fiery impression on that special date. And get the almond chia pudding for a slightly sweet yet satisfying almond chia pudding.
- Almond milk costs a little extra but it's a much healthier option to soy or dairy. Plus it's delicious in a mocha or cappuccino!
- Daniel SpiewakApril 15, 2016Phenomenal. Not only the best coffee in the valley, but probably the best coffee on the entire West Coast (I don't say that lightly).
- Alex LeungMei 8, 2014Columbia La Virgen via Bonavita immersion dripper was delicious. The extra time it takes to brew is worth it. Served in a big ceramic mug :)
- My go to drink there lately has been the coconut mocha—yum! Be warned, it gets crowded at times.
- Love their coffees. Try the mocha borgia, Cubano, or San Martini pour-over. Their pastries are also good! Try the madeline and the danishes
- Jonno SchmidtJanuari 10, 2016Coffee was fantastic. Their cappuccinos were wonderful with a great ratio of milk to espresso (they are served in SCAA 5.5oz cups).
- One of the best coffee shops in South Bay. Only others that come close are, Bellano and bitter+sweet.
- Ashley MowreyOktober 21, 2014One of my favorite roasters, get a Gibraltar, and a pour over as to not miss the chance to taste their roasts in their many forms
- Unicorn Pony is the anniversary blend here and somehow lives up to its mythical billing. A blend of two Ethiopian beans, one wet and one dry processed, the cup beams with cherry and grape mouth tones.
- Andrew SandlerAgustus 25, 2017Great local coffee roaster. Now featuring Manresa Bread treats. Amazing!
- Good coffee and espresso drinks. Like the coconut (formerly voodoo) and Borgia in particular. But NOT cheap. You hit $10 on two drinks easy. Not an everyday place for me.
- Latte, Whole Wheat Chocolate Cookies, and Goat & Cheddar Cheese Melt are all delicious!
- Konga espresso beans, an Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, have a fermented oak mouth and are touched of by a splash of dark fruit, a la kiwi, equal in magnitude and stretching to the dark roasted body.
- Tobias SchmidtMaret 11, 2018The single origin on tap was great. The cold brew is slightly on the watery side but also good
- Carolynn ChoiJanuari 7, 2015Their teas can be steeped up to 3-4x so if you finish your first cup, go back to the front and ask for more hot water!
- Joshua HaftelJanuari 22, 2015Better coffee than anywhere else in Sunnyvale / San Jose. Slow, which they acknowledge, but spin as good coffee takes time—if that's the case, why does it take 2-3x longer than at Fourbarrel?
- Their almond milk latte is seriously one of the best i've had. Not too watery not too thick.
- Tried the love affair. If you like mint and chocolate then this is the drink for you!
- Really yummy coffee, and the latte art is superb!
- Their bomb croissants and my favorite the almond milk latte.
- Micah DuchesneAgustus 2, 2016Here's a tip if you like cold brew. Get the bonus cup, and don't change a thing - except for you life!
- The San Augustine roast is a sweet reward for your bruised palette. The bright tones sweep across the entire lifetime a sip or drink. A soft strawberry jelly bean flavor grips the mid tongue taste.
- The Kunjin beans from Papua New Guinea flexes a thick earthy body. The dark chocolate mouth feeds into the simple savory soil tones of the body.
- Tried their Seasonal Special called Loveless. It containes chocolate and raspberry jam, yum!
- Get the mocha borgia, cold brew, or the iced chai. Pricey, but worth it. Internet is spotty at times though.
- They now have craft beers and wine. Excited to see what awesome brews chromatic has curated.
- Unicorn beans are amazing! Lots of people on weekends but there's usually a seat or two open.
- Surprised no one has mentioned the hotchata! So many great barista's choice drinks though can't really go wrong.
- PraveenFebruari 12, 2018Cafe Brulee and Dark coconut Mocha were really good. A great place to hangout.
- Brian ChernickOktober 20, 2017Oat milk! Get your drink with oat milk! You’ll thank me later. Also the toasts are delicious!
- Free black coffee or espresso shot if you buy a bag of coffee beans.
- Alexander JazzyAlexMei 24, 2018Coffee is expensive but good (I tried only pour over and espresso). Baristas are snobby and not welcoming, big minus.
- favorite coffee spot in the South Bay, cafe brûlée, dark coconut mocha are really good!!
- Some seriously expensive coffee but it is pretty good. Try the psycho chiller, Hoth nog or their radio tonic!
