- This hotel has been through a major renovation! The furnishings are lovely, the staff bend over the backwards to give great service ( bellhop Romy is top notch ) and the cocktails are strong!
Nicole SaenzMei 7, 2013After the overhaul of the Hotel & Casino we were excited to stay. Room was spacious and clean. Food was great (see comments on Hash House & Island Sushi & Hawaiian Grill) Gaming was exceptional.
I always stay in downtown Vegas on Freemont strip and have a blast. This time around wanted to try a new spot and The Plaza did not disappoint. What a great place and I'm staying here for Viva
Tons of recent additions and upcoming updates including the Sand Dollar lounge with live music nightly. Best location on Fremont, updated rooms, rooftop patio with tennis and pool. Clean spacious gym.

Bonnie O'BierDesember 14, 2012We finally r asked to take a dif room. Fine until the trains came thru at 440 am. Also tub and sink would not drain. They did move us the next a.m....however again, not to our selected/booked room.
They used to have an incredible band which was the reason you would go there. The management are absolutely clueless. The place stinks too

Kimberly WebbOktober 4, 2011As of August 2011 the hotel & casino had a $35 remodel. So if u have been here before it was a dump & nasty, now the rooms are beautiful with everything new. Give it a try & save $!
They've remodeled The Plaza very nicely, rooms are better, and more to eat. Hash House a gogo is a must, Island sushi not so much.- Jeremy AnslowSeptember 2, 2017Sneaky cool pool and Oscars Steakhouse is a great hidden gem downtown.

Pop up pizza is closest to nyc pizzeria you'll find downtown. Yum!- Great food with Hash House and Pop Up Pizza. Rooms are very nice.

McDonald's has a special for seniors one dollar and 49 in the mall area on the first floor
Smells like hooker pussy spray but other that that it is awesome. They only got 30 bucks from me because the vibe was ...well what vibe?? And it also took over 45 mins for us 2 get an extra blanket
