Kent Rudd: This is the Oktoberfest's prime VIP hangout. Since it's open longer than the other tents, the crowd heads there after the other tents close. So get there early!
Kent Rudd: The roasting of an entire ox started as an Oktoberfest sensation in 1881. Over a hundred are roasted each year. Each one's name is displayed.
Kent Rudd: A beer tent loved by locals as well as non-locals ("zuagroasten" = Germans residing here from out of town) alike. All are welcome and all love the cheer "Löööwenbräu!"
Kent Rudd: The "Heaven of the Bavarians" (Himmel der Bayern) tent seats 6950 thirsty guests inside as well as 2350 in its beer garden. The interior was painted by Oscar winner Rolf Zehetbauer ("Cabaret").
Kent Rudd: Today's tent, complete with wind protectors, was inaugurated in 2004. Historical versions featured open air shooting galleries as well as parking right at the tent.
