Great atmosphere, classy Italian menu, small desserts but tasteful, a wide variety of pasta dishes & delicious flat breads. They also offer free bread & olive oil as any good Italian restaurant does
New addition to the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, open since it was renovated, it has a hip cool interior and a very select/small menu but with delicious caffeinated options. Great for people watching too

Very cozy and small location, often busy, with buttery pastries, small cups of hot beverages (nothing venti/huge); very difficult to find a spot but it's quite a gem on an otherwise busy street
Best Maitre D' in the world, ask for David if you can. Also great, classy rooms, not modern but everything's upgraded. Wonderful lake views as well!

Open concept store, anti-animal testing, have both skin/body care and make up, and a wide range of all too. Lots of deals all the time & they release new products seasonally. A personal favorite!

The canal freezes&opens for skating in the winter when the temperatures reach -30 degrees Celsius; in the warmer months it's a great walking trail; not a lot of businesses on the side of the water
Small Italian restaurant in the byward market, they make their pastas by hand daily; in the summer they also have a patio but during the cold months space is very limited indoors so book a table
