Not cheapest compared to others in C'Town but ingredients & tastes are fresh, clean & pretty authentic..making this Vietnamese the best pho, Cha gio, Grilled Pork Chops, & banh mi place in NYC!
Great prices and great for a quick bite, despite that it's pretty crowded during lunch. The Vietnamese coffee is authentic and their banh mi's and bùn's (vermicelli noodle bowls) are great for Togo.
Say you're looking for a modern take on Vietnamese food that's not going to break your bank: this is your spot. Line to wait is long, but moves fast. Try the duckvermicelli and spicy brisketbanh mi.
Banh mi classic is legit. Summer rolls are meh. Pho broth is literally some of the best I've had. Cash only. Long wait times if you're dining in but worth it.
Get the duck com, which is duck with rice. Great spot for quick meals. Low key, but always crowded. You would wait less if you come by yourself. They keep the restaurant quite warm during winter.
Spicy Special or Saigon Shack pho. Perfect sliced beef topping. Spring rolls and Vietnam sandwiches are also fabulous but I bet you can't finish them and the pho all at once ;)
Absolutely amazing! And cheap! You can have a HUGE noodle soup for 8 bucks (which you can share, quite frankly). Try the beef pho or brisketpho. And the cucumber lemonade! What an experience!
Closest and most consistent place to west coast quality pho I've had in my several years in NYC. Great ingredients, many options, and lovely service. Love that they're open late but cash only!
The best part is the bánh mì, pho, and spring rolls will be the best you've ever had. Second best part is that you get more dishes than you can eat for $10-15 bucks
I had the Saigon Shack Pho and my friend had the lemongrass chicken pho. Both were delicious and huge, but the chicken was extra special. The brisket was my favorite meat of the pho.
The pho is definitely on the upper end of quality, but the spring rolls are f#cking amazing. Also, get a cup of Vietnamese coffee (hot or cold) to go when you leave. You won't regret it.
Get the food to go, because there's always a line out the door. Their bahn misandwich is very good. And beware: the spicy version is actually very spicy. One sandwich will keep you full all night.
Finally a Vietnamese restaurant that has the best of everything. Pho, Banh Mi sandwiches, Spring rolls and vermicelli bowls! This is now my favorite Vietnamese restaurant. And they're open late!
Actually I do not think the pho here is authentic at all. The noodles are just not right, the texture is way too firm compared to the phos I had in Vietnam. Typical pho noodles are wider and softer.
The BBQ porkbahn mi was delicious; but not really traditional Vietnamese porkbahn mi. I think the beef or the ham would have been more traditional, but still really good food!
Affordable, tasty Vietnamese. Friendly staff! The grilled pork on rice vermicelli noodles and the beef phô are personal faves. GENEROUS servings, so come hungry & be prepared to take leftovers home!
Despite high ratings, this isn’t one of my favorite V places for pho, even for “neuvo”. Broth isn’t as delicious other places and noodles over cooked. I expected so much, yet they delivered little.
Solid and most authentic viet spot in the west village and surrounding area. If you're ever in the mood for a pho fix or craving some spring rolls, this place definitely hits the spot.
Cash-only. Asked for marque Vietnamese dishes: Chả Giò, Phở & Bánh Mì Xá Xíu. Lady at the counter looked puzzled upon hearing the words. Not a good sign for authenticity. Food was good. Not the best.
Very good, highly recommend for authentic food. For comments about wait staff trying to rush you out, it's because their menu is extremely inexpensive, so they compensate with large turnover.
First time having pho and OMG! Sorry grandma but this beats chicken noodle soup. I got the lemongrass chicken and it was perfect in every way. Also cucumber water!
The crab cakebanh mi was phenomenal and spicy. Communal seating was fine since we were a group of six anyway. Hated that we were next to the door and the frigid air kept rushing in, but that's on us.
Food here is so good and inexpensive-don't expect great service. Our waitress took our order while smacking with food in her mouth. They will snatch your plate while you're still eating so eat fast
Good veggiebanh mi with tofu. Love the sauce on the side, you can taste every ingredient (ginger sauce) in it. Very fresh great portions. Great service as well. (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Baca selanjutnya
