- Darla AcheyApril 23, 2013Don't forget, United to Newark or Houston is in Terminal 2! If you get out at the first United stop, its a long walk to the next terminal when you're carrying luggage!
- If your flying out United, don't pass up a Bloody Mary at the Sports Bar next to Gate 14. Best Mary around! Order it spicy. :)
- Scenic views of the water. Easy in and out. Nice airport

- Best Tip for travelers: SHIP your luggage to your final destination via UPS or FedEx instead of dealing with the hassle of checking your bags. Makes flying a total pleasure!
- Southwest terminal main boarding area has a very crowded and small men's room. Take care of business downstairs before going through security.

- HISTORYApril 20, 2010SAN, dedicated in 1928, is also known as Lindbergh Field. San Diego was the city from which Charles Lindbergh began the journey that would become the first solo transatlantic flight.
- Good dining options and really convenient to downtown.
- Terminal 2 is exquisite and Terminal 1 is being remodeled with nice amenities. The free WiFi is below average though: difficult to log-in, slow speeds, and boots you after 30 min.
- Lach TaylorOktober 3, 2013This facility is outdated, but at least I found electrical outlets near some seats at Gate 24. A few years ago, I sat on the floor with other travelers around the only outlet for 3 gates.
- If you're flying to LAX your flight WILL be departing from the commuter terminal. It's a LONG walk from the main terminal to the commuter so keep that in mind....

- Nikki MJuli 8, 2013Good news: it's small and easily accessible. Bad news: it's small and has limited facilities. Be sure to eat before you go through security if you want hot food.
- Love the improved Terminal 2 with outlets at pretty much every chair. Terminal 1 (specifically Southwest gates) need to do the same.
- Difficult to distinguish entry points for precheck & non-precheck. I often see folks turned away at the security podium b/c they were in the wrong line.

- Southwest terminals are limited and usually always crowded with not a lot of options for amenities. Could use an expansion.
- Commuter terminal blows...get here early to avoid long lines for all the short flights leaving here. You ll almost spend more time to check in and take your flight than just to drive...enjoy

- Shoe shine gent between Gates 20-40 is great!
- The rental car shuttle waiting areas are a mess. No signs to alert which part of curb a particular company will park. So even if you were waiting the longest you may not get a place on shuttle #1.

- Check out Phil's BBQ in terminal 2. Local beers and great bbq.

- Make sure to get a spot in the cell phone lot near the entrance - if you get to the end, getting back in is a big pain
- Terminal 2 now open. No more funky uturn if you are coming from Point Loma.

- Park in short term parking to avoid the lines of cars dropping people off.
- New terminal 2 is pretty great! Nice to see we caught up with services at other airports!
- oh, how I LOVE going through the line twice, and checking a bag in between....at least if you fly Southwest, you get up to two bags free!
- Hope you don’t have to transfer. Three pods of gates, each separate TSA. So drink that water fast
- Chargers everywhere! Stone brewing, tons of space... This is the model of what an airport should be!

- Ang LiMaret 5, 2015If you are at terminal 1, make sure you know your gate number before going through security: Gate 1-2 are isolated from the rest.
