The delicious BBQ Sampler for 2 is enough for 3 or 4 people consisting of a 1/2 slab of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, 2 sausages, and 1/2 a BBQ chicken along with 4 sides to choose from.
This is one of the best restaurants in DC. Great meat/bbq selections and an extensive vegan menu. Fantastic beer and whiskey selection; amazing carrot cake. Do have the cheese grits.
The food and beer are not surprisingly excellent, but the hidden gems are the hot sauces they make in house. I highly recommend maple habanero, and the "do not die" sauce. Spicy, but huge on flavor.
The mashed potatoes here are heaven. So are the grits. And the vegan spare ribs (even my meat-eating friends will order them, they’re that good). You can’t go wrong here, basically.
Things get crazy in Adams Morgan, but this place maintains a low key, laid back vibe. Great beer selection and mild pricing make this a good option when not looking to deal with huge crowds.
Feast on barbecue with a side of bourbon at this Adams Morgan restaurant. There's also rye, Scotch, and a short list of whiskey cocktails. Baca selanjutnya
Everything was delicious. From the nachos with veggie chili, the vegan wings, and the oat burger, this place did not disappoint. Highly recommend for vegetarians.
Come after 8pm on Mondays for Washington Psychotronic Film Society (WPFS)! The weekly event screens strange B-movies from the forgotten past. There are door prizes and goodies too!
You must order the fried pickles. MUST. Slender slivers of barely-battered, delicately salty perfection. They look like wee potato chips but are 10x more awesome. I crave them (and nothing else here).
TT Tip: Brisket, Pork eggrolls, fried okra, Brooklyn Manhattan (Bklyn Lager w/shot of caramel-tinged Old Overholt, a dash of sweet vermouth), or Governor Hall (Woodford Reserve w/Gubna Imperial IPA).
Delicious pulled pork and awesome jalapeño grits! Only downside: I paid $2 per refill of Diet Coke, something I didn't know until the check came! I'd definitely go back soon though.
The Bitches Say: B-. We would go back if we were local and really craving meat in our brunch. Winner of the Bitches' Worst Place for Vegetarians and Best Barbecue awards for 2013!
All the meat here is actually smoked w/ reclaimed bourbon barrels and is closest in style to Memphis. Claim the goodness in the espresso-rubbed beef brisket and pulled pork shoulder. Baca selanjutnya
Don't miss the brisket. Rubbed with ground coffee, then smoked with hickory and disassembled bourbon barrels, the meat is husky but sweet: Baca selanjutnya
The cuisine (Southern cookout) and decor (barrels, barn doors) might seem a little rustic here, we can assure you that the attention to detail is anything but. Baca selanjutnya
