On the same grounds as a national park. Museum has several interactive exhibits, but is very reading intensive overall. Worth a visit.

Housed in a gun foundry built in 1861, the center explores the Civil War through three perspectives: Union, Confederate and African American. Segway tours regularly run through the former ironworks.

Poe's Pub is a wonderful place for lunch after visiting. Delicious ribs, best in Richmond, VA.
