Built from 1086 by William the Conqueror, and since 1216 home to one of the copies the Magna Carta (the UK's version of a bill of rights).
Take a roof tour of the Cathedral. They're available most days and don't cost much, but they take you to places you'd never normally see. But not really suitable for those scared of heights!

Between the Castle and the Cathedral at the top of Steep Hill, this is the place to start looking around historic Lincoln.
Make sure you try a pie. As daft as it sounds they have a lot of different things to choose from. Game/rabbit/beef and chicken pies are absolutely delicious
Great food, great service. Definatly a place to visit whilst in Lincoln. Terrace has great views of Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle.
Good club night on Saturday. Widest mixture of music in Lincoln to suit most tastes and cheap drinks too
The mill is still in full working order and provides flour, subject to sufficiently windy days. Great team of volunteers maintaining it and guiding you around the mill. Free entry.
The museum houses one of the first tanks developed during World War I by the local firm of William Foster & Co. of Lincoln. Free entry.
Quite a trendy bohemian style pub, lots of young men wearing beards and hats indoors. However, great atmosphere, lovely staff and good beer. Often has Hobgoblin, Caskade, Cumberland, Tiger, etc.
