Looking forward to great restaurants in the old ticketing area!
Just take the earlier train/bus. Have some extra time to start up in the morning with little rush.
I love this place! Walk around inside and out, it's beautiful.
You can buy snacks/food inside - def handy for a layover.

John LloydFebruari 2, 2012Make sure you use the senior shuttle (if you're eligible), as you can get aboard a bit early.
The 'restrooms' on the platforms have always been questionable. Try the ones inside the station.

Hit the Starbucks... They have cute baristas and good coffee.
Take the flyaway. It's an express bus to LAX runs every 30 min 24hrs a day!
Better food across the street at Olvera Street (out the west entrance to the station)

Dunc WAgustus 6, 2013The taxi drivers on the cab rank are a bunch of halfwit gunts who have no idea of the way around their city. Especially the rude asses working for that yellow firm. You're better off calling a cab.
If you don't know the person, just don't talk to them. Trust me on this.- Get some subway and Starbucks oh and a pretzel before ur train or bus on the alameda side of the train station

When going towards Atlantic station Do Not bring your coffee or any opened drinks inside the train! $250 fine. Learned my lesson. Damn sheriffs are profiling.....
Parking is cheap, and even cheaper if you take the Metro Red Line.

Look for the small koi pond south of the main building in front of the Met Water District building.
