Places to Take Your NYC Guests

Lisa Gansky: One my my most favorite restaurants in NYC. Amazing blueberry pancakes and awesome chicken sandwich.

Lisa Gansky: Great place for meat-eaters. Good place to stop after tiring your guests out walking through Central Park. Get cheesecake take-out at nearby Stage Deli on your way home.

Lisa Gansky: Great views of the Empire State Building for your shutterbug friends. There are also some gorgeous flower displays in the warmer months.

Lisa Gansky: Bring your hockey fan friends here when they visit. They will be surprised at the small size, but it's always worth it for the photo opp with the old-skool motorbike that's always on display.

Lisa Gansky: Out-of-town guests will enjoy the pizza, but even more so, the amazing cheesy garlic bread. And don't forget to make them check out the bathroom.

Lisa Gansky: If your NYC guests love dogs, bring them along when you take your pooch to the dog park. Great fun!

Lisa Gansky: If your NYC guests are in town near Christmas, bringing them here to see the tree is mandatory.

Lisa Gansky: If your out-of-town guests like BBQ, this is a cool place to go to. Make sure to get a side of the mashed potatoes, sinfully delicious!

Lisa Gansky: If your out-of-town guests think Starbucks is the best thing since sliced-bread, bring them here & they will change their mind! Get your coffee to-go and drink it in the adjoining Ace Hotel lobby.

Lisa Gansky: It's always fun to bring out-of-towners here so they can see just how large the flagship Macy's is. Make sure to take the old-skool wooden escalators all the way up!

Lisa Gansky: Another fantastic coffee place. Remember: there's absolutely no reason to ever take out-of-town guests to Starbucks.

Lisa Gansky: Hit up Eataly for lunch & grab a prime rib sandwich. Out-of-towners will be impressed with how massive this place is.

Lisa Gansky: Your out-of-town guests eyes will bulge when they see how huge the sandwiches are at Defonte's!

Lisa Gansky: Tourists will be fascinated by all the different shops at Chelsea Market. Bonus: you can grab a decent bite to eat.

Lisa Gansky: Filet mignon, mashed potatoes, asparagus... and a glass of wine. Best lunch ever.

Lisa Gansky: Spitzer's tends to be extremely loud at night. It's nice to come on a Saturday for a late lunch. Sit by the window & have a beer. Great people-watching.

Lisa Gansky: A tad expensive, but so damn good, you won't really mind. Loved the sauce and the cheese. Good pizza!

Lisa Gansky: Stop by the barista's area & grab a Counter Culture cold brew to go! Delicious!
