    If you're interested in China's history, this place is a must-see. A little hard to find, but well worth the search. Not many locals know it exists, but it's a real gem.

    If you want to see a part of China's history through posters, you must go to this museum and learn about a time in which such illustrations were full of propaganda as massive media to reach a nation.

    Located in the basement level of a residence building. All posters and artifacts are part of the owner's private collection. Don't forget to pick up a post card at the gift shop before you go! :)

    Fascinating museum. A bit difficult to get to but really worth it! If you enter the presidential mansion apt complex, find a security guard, they'll know what you're looking for and direct you.

    The Shanghai Propaganda Poster Museum may be a great place to visit since it acts like a brief introduction to the trip to Shanghai. This place should be the first stop of one's journey in Shanghai.

    With most of the posters can be found online, the takeaway is to get your favourite copy from the gift shop. Some originally published Mao's Quotation (aka Communism 'Bible') are for sale at 500 kuai.

    Very interesting museum. It's small so only 1 hour or so needed. Tricky to find - it's only got a small sign and in the basement of an apartment block. Walk down the side road on the corner.

    Interesting museum of, you guessed it, propaganda posters. There is a shop too so you can take home some posters. Visitors love it here.

    Great place to see the history of propaganda posters through the years. Was a little difficult to find on my smart phone Google maps through a vpn but checked on the laptop for the correct directions

    Yes, this museum is in a residential building. Highly recommended. As of December 2016 the entry fee is 25RMB.

    Good deals in the gift shop for propaganda postcards with a pack of 10 for 40 RMB. A cheap way of owning some of the most famous posters in the collection!

    Not easy to find, but worth it! It's in the basement of building B, in the President Mansion apartment complex. Beautifully curated with many pieces for sale. Allow an hour or less to look around.

    Small and low budget basement museum, however, interesting with loads of take home prints in the gift shop. Worth a stop but unless a propaganda buff, you need 30m max.

    We walked down a dark and sketchy staricase, uncertain of what we would encounter downstaris. A basement barely spacious enough to fit our whole class waited for us at the bottom of the stairwell.
