Lots of great food options in this airport. All the Pappas Restaurants have a presence and all are fantastic just depends if you are in the mood for Mexican, Seafood, or Burgers. Barry's for pizza.Suara positif Mar 2

Cheryl ThompsonFebruari 22, 2019Smaller airports are great. TSA folks are nice, and there are constant pages over the intercom to advise people of their lost items. It’s almost like they CARE here.
I miss the days when Southwest had their three level security lines: Fast Track, Expert Traveler and Family/Need Extra Time. That was the most efficient TSA process ever!!!

Go to the cell phone lot while you wait for your friends to arrive and enjoy the views of planes landing. Very close to the terminal, so you avoid the traffic at arrivals.
Enn EssFebruari 3, 2019Small airport with only one terminal. Went through security with ease. Plenty of shops. Ample seating with outlets for charging devices.
I like this airport, nice and easy. Just make sure you collect your money from those who owe you before leaving town.
Susan RussoMaret 5, 2013Pappadeaux is a fun spot for a bite to eat offering classic New Orleans dishes like fried alligator, dirty rice, shrimp étouffée, and oysters. Sad beers on tap though, so be warned.
Jason PelishDesember 29, 2011If you're hungry go to the Asian Food place in the Food Court before the A Gates. The Szechuan Noodles are awesome - especially with the Phoenix Chicken. Really tasty hunan sauce on them - yum!
A nicely renovated smaller airport with lots of direct flights on Southwest. No airport lounges as of 2019, but security is fast, so there’s usually no need to hang out at the airport for a long time.

Cute little airport and easy to navigate. Pappa’s Burgers are delicious! But the restrooms aren’t ever clean 😩- For convenience try parking in the brand new parking garage($20/day) at Hobby Airport. It is located on the left as soon as you get your parking ticket from the machine. Going to the terminal is easy.

Christina BoggsNovember 7, 2022Pappasito’s Cantina can cobble together vegan food (side of black beans, pico, and tortillas). Otherwise, a veggie delite from Subway is your other option.
Southwest got me back EARLY! The TSA was actually friendly & their body scanners are more generic pictures then other airports I've been in. Felt less violated & the friendliness went a long way!- Hobby has made so many improvements over the last few years and is really a great airport with plenty of amenities.

Love, love this airport, so easy to get in and get out of the city, when needed!!- When picking up passengers with checked luggage, park red garage level 3 or 4, take the elevator to one and meet them. 10 minutes of parking is $1.00. 11 minutes to 60 minutes is $5.00.

Agree with Jessica the rocking chairs are a nice Texan touch and the confined space in the pick-up area with idling cars gives the equally Texan polluted air experience
George WJuni 23, 2014It's an airport, what do you expect? Short lines at the TSA, it's comfortable, clean w/a nice food court. Take it from a real traveler, don't spend a lot of time in airports if you can avoid it!
I love Hobby Air Port! My only complaint is it needs more restaurants choices and it definitely needs a Starbucks!
Best place to fly in and out of if you’re going to the Houston area.

ChristinaDesember 26, 2012Get a frozen original margarita at Papasitos. One of the best frozens I've had in ages. They put it in a plastic cup, too.
Only 51 gates and pretty much Southwest. Great option if you are headed to Galveston as you will save a ton of time
Grab a beer and walk around the concourse with it. There are some decent food places in this place as well.
Hobby finally has upgraded the terminals and better food places have been added! If you're running late Subway has been added and is serving breakfast (at normal prices too)!
Pappasito,s cantina is the best! I love having a local Houston restaurant in the airport. If you crave tex mex this is the place to go!
Andres NovoaNovember 10, 2015When picking someone up keep left as you approach the covered portion. That line moves faster since people on the right are usually stopped to load.
I'm amazed at the lemmings who will go through the full body scanners here. Everyone should opt out.

Eco park 2 is the best place to park. Only $8 a day and it is right next to the terminal door.

This aiport is gorgeous! The rennovation turned out extraordinary! Kudos to the city of Houston!

Lines can get long, but they move quickly. A friendly smile can go a long way here.
Best chairs in Gate 43 of any airport I've been in outside of the Preferred Lounges. "Leather" sitting chairs with Power outlets and USB ports every 2 chairs.
